THE DEVELOPMENT OF INQUIRY METHOD BASED EXPLANATORY TEXT WITH PISA FRAMEWORK FOR JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Research and development of a module for reading explanatory texts based on inquiry methods PISA standardized questions has been carried out in class VIII SMP N 52 Palembang. This study aimed to produce modules that suit the needs teachers students. The research method used was with steps Jolly Bolitho Dick, Carey models which include identification needs, exploration material contextual realization, production materials, expert validation, one evaluation, small group field tests. Data collected through questionnaires, interviews, validation sheets, results showed feasibility aspect content presentation obtained percentage 84% very good category, linguistic 90% categorized as good, graphics 76% received 85% category. Practicality one-to-one evaluation stage gets 80% practical effectiveness measured test is 0.49 medium Thus, product form can be learning texts.
